Plugin not executed by httpd on v2.5 ocs-ng

Hi,

Trying to setup "Plugin Vmware vCenter". on Red Hat Enterprise Linux Server release 7.6 (Maipo)

All files are installed succesfuly:

-rw-rw-rw-. 1 apache apache 54 Nov 28 15:33 /etc/ocsinventory-server/plugins/Vmware.conf
-rw-rw-rw-. 1 apache apache 5062 Nov 28 15:33 /etc/ocsinventory-server/perl/Apache/Ocsinventory/Plugins/Vmware/Map.pm

Agent file also deployed:

But no Error messages or logs in the http log files either not sure what is not causing it to load and execute.

Windows Product Key wrong

Hi,

i'm using OCS-Server 2.4.1 on Linux, Windows Agent 2.4.0.

The Windows 10 product key is shown wrong in OCS.

BS-Name :Microsoft Windows 10Pro
BS-Version :10.0.17134
Architektur :x86 64 bit
Windows Lizenz-Nr. :VK7JG-.....
Agent-Version :OCS-NG_INJECTOR_PL_v3

The real key is : MGK6X-.....

In OCS, the key VK7JG... is displayed on many computers. The real key is different on these computers.

I'm using this :

OCS-NG-Windows-Agent-Setup.exe /S /local=C:\tmp

/usr/bin/perl OCSNG_UNIX_SERVER_2.4/binutils/ocsinventory-injector.pl --url http://ocs-server.xxx.de/ocsinventory -f <file from c:\tmp>

Installation date not present for most programms

hy, i am just testing OCS-Inventory 2.5.0 with agent 2.4.0

Local import - most programms have no installation date!

For example handbrake 0.10.5 which i am using in my test

Ocs reports 0000-00-00

00:00:00

But in software add /remove i see the installation date - i thought this works in the new agent ?
I vertified that the date isn't in a local generated xml file - so the server isn't the problem
The same as in ocs inventory 2.1.2 with agent 2.0.5

the "bug" or problem is very old

It looks like ocsagent looks in

HKLM:\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall

under softarename - for example Handbrake

If there is a Installdate in an Reg_SZ value- then ocs reports it- the question is where the add/remove software control gets the date?

Demo Server - database too limited

hy, i am often testing some things in demo server to look if a have a local configuration problem.

The problem with the demo server is the following.

1. there are no checkbox or radio buttons in administrative data

2. there is only 1 group

3. there is no dynamic group

4. there are no registry values ?

It should be easy for the maintainer to add this data - so every person can try to make a multicriteria search with groups, or see how a radio button looks like. I am sure the missing administrative data after updating ocs-inventory bugs where easily identified.

Also the search with 2 ore more groups where often a "and" and "or" problem in multicriteria search can identified more easily. Also the dynamic group feature bug are disclosed (dynamic groups integrates computers which are never searched at the time the group was generated)
It was more comforable to report a bug in github if i can make a reference to the demo server - so every ocs-inventory maintainer knows that the bug is not at my local installation.
So please extend the database a little bit

I have a problem regarding the package activation that tells me a "Warning: Can't find information file at https://xxxxx/download/xxxxx"

If I manually enter the path I see the directory content (http as also on https)

It's kind a weird that upon building a package the directory permissions always get set back to 755 www-data:www-data...
As described in the following post I added these options to the ocsinventory-report.conf  http://ask.ocsinventory-ng.org/5827/deployment-activate
Options Indexes FollowSymLinks MultiViews
AllowOverride None

Also I can't access the package statistics site with a notice, that there's no access to this data

Hopefully you can help on this issue I'm really clueless :-(

Help troubleshoot: Couldn't connect to server

Hi all,

We have a newly installed ocs inventory ng server version 2.5 on Centos 7.

I’m trying to get my first agent to communicate with the server. It’s the Windows agent 2.4 on a server 2008 box. However, I only get “Failed to send HTTP Post request <Couldn't connect to server>”

I have stopped the firewalls on both the server and client. If I point my browser to: http://ipaddress_of_ocs/ocsinventory, I get page not found.

Here is some HTTP info:

Use of Plugins - for example winusers

Hi,

I wan't to use plugins with OCS Inventory.

Debian Server with ocs 2.5 -> Inventory and deployment works on windows agent.

I wan't to user for exampl ethe winusers plugin.

Download and copy to: /usr/share/ocsinventory-reports/ocsreports/download
and install it through the Plugin Manger. All semms good.

Then I copied the winusers.vbs on Windows Agent to: C:\Program Files (x86)\OCS Inventory Agent\Plugins

The map.mp file is in: /etc/ocsinventory-server/perl/Apache/Ocsinventory/Plugins/Winusers

I added following entry to /etc/ocsinventory-agent/modules.conf: use Ocsinventory::Agent::Modules::Winusers;

But it doesn't work.
Can somebody tell me whats wrong?

Missing computer details when browsing Vm list

Using OCS Inventory Server 2.5

Error messages comes as "You don't have access to this data"

when clicking:

Agent is sending vmware inventory to the NG-Server as expected when using "VMWare inventory" plugin from "Gilles Dubois"

Disable SSL for Deployment from server?

Hallo,

all my clients canot download any Software because of an SSL error.

I don't know why I get this error, client logfile only log "SSL error".

Can I disable the usage of SSL from the ocs server so I don't have to change anything on the client?

The server does not detect clients (Agent)

Im intalled OCS Server on 2 environments:

1) OCS Server 2.5 on Centos7 with a Windows 10 agent in the same network without firewall with Windos 10 Client (Agent vs 2.4.0)

2) Installed OCs Server / Xampp vs 2.1.2 on Windows 10 and install OCs Agent vs 2.4.0 on the same machines. Local host

In my environments, my server does not detect the client (agent)?

Why?

using ocs teledeploy functionnality

Hello,

I want to use ocs teledeploy functionnality to clear a browser cache (ie) on client machines. I have 90 clients and I just need to run the following command: C:\Windows\System32\RunDll32.exe InetCpl.cpl,ClearMyTracksByProcess 255

I used the execute action to run this command but nothing has changed. Then I used the launch action to launch a .bat file with this command. even adding start didnt resolve the issue. the package is always downloaded successfully but nohting has been executed on the client machine to proove that the cache has been cleaned.

How can I di this action please. it's a production issue and I need to relove this ASAP.

Can't install kind of packages

Hello,

my problem is that aber deploying the notepad++-package it isn't possible to install it on a Computer.

What I've done?

I've downloaded the newest .notepad++-exe from their Homepage. After this I packed the installer in a zip-file. At the web Access of ocs I deployed a new package (Priority=0, npp,zip, npp.7.6.Installer.exe /S). Then I activated the package. I've chosen the new package to install on my Computer.

At least I clicked Right at the Agent > start ocs inventory ng agent on my Computer. The Status changed from "waiting for Response" to "Notified". Then….Nothing. I can't install it. Before I started the Installation of 7-zip successfully.

Do you have any suggestions why it is so complicated to install?

Hello,

I deployed a package on a group of ocs agents and I those two issues on some clients. Does anyone know the meaning? knowing that the same package worked on other machines and all the group has the same version of ocs agent. What can be the problem?

Update a SQL database based on OCS

Hello,

I would like to monitor a software version and update a MariaDB database based on the software version this way :

Actual software release version : 2

- Computer 1 has Software version 1 -----> UPDATE Computer 1 [...] CanUpdate = YES

- Computer 2 has Software version 2 -----> UPDATE Computer 1 [...] CanUpdate = NO

The process would update the database table everytime i run it, depending on the computer deployed versions and the updated server version.

The OCS server is on Debian 9 and i can get the software version number on the OCS Inventory computer list.

What would be the best way to do this ? Using a bash script on the cron table of the OCS server ?

Also, can you edit the software column in OCS Inventory to add a "last edited" or "last update" date ?
