SNMP - Can't get snmp datas

Dear Staff,

I have actually the ocs inventory installed in my debian webserver,
I would love to use all the network functions,
The ip discovery is helping me a lot,

I also would like to use the SNMP Tool, but I can't get datas on snmp table,

I don't know why, but no data appears on snmp ocs area, The table is empty,

I tried to install snmp tools(Net-Tools) on debian, tried to request snmp info through snmpwalk on server and it is working fine,
If I am sure, heard that the ocs agents has the function to get the snmp info around the subnet, I also checked the file "C:\ProgramData\OCS Inventory NG\Agent\snmplist.txt" and there are a lot of devices written there,

Idk if it's a server communication trouble or else,

Please, Could you help me figure out why there is no snmp devices on snmp ocs function ?

i have OCS Server 2.5 (and 2.6 for testing) with the latest Agent 2.4.0.0 in a small Windows Domain working.

My updated Windows 1809 is working fine, a new Installation will not install Software, the inventory works. The file is complete in the download location

failure to update administrative data

Many subnets to invetory

Hy everybody,

I have a Network with many subnets. All agents are directed to my OCS-server, a CentOS with OCS-server 2.6 version.

My network have thousand and threehundred machines, but now they are coming to my BD so lazy that I suspect that I can't inventory all my network. In BD now has hundred fifty four machines only, a average of four machines has coming per day.

How to improve this number? Have some configuration to increase the performance of the agent data? have a maner to make the ocs listen more than one network adapater?

Can't locate object method "new"

Hello,

After install unix agent via a package created by the unix packager I've an error message when i try to lunch ocsinventory-agent :

for information i've the package LWP::Protocol::https::Socket in /opt/ocsinventory/perl/lib/5.26.0/LWP

The using command is :

Pas de remontée de l'agent

Bonjour,

Voici mon install:

Ubuntu 18.04 pour le serveur

OCS 2.5 pour le serveur OCS

Agent 2.4.0.0 pour l'agent

L'installation se passe correctement.

J'ai bien accès à la console d'OCS

J'installe correctement l'agent .... enfin je pense

Mais je n'ai aucune remontée de mon agent dans la console

Si vous aviez des idées sur la raison de ce problème ce serait sympa ...

Si vous avez besoin de renseignements, merci de me dire précisément où les chercher car je ne suis pas du tout un habitué de Ubuntu

Déactivation du déploiement OCS

Bonjour,

Je souhaiterai désactiver le déploiement OCS, tout en concervant la remonté des informations hardware/logiciel en Https. La documentation indique :

Agent must have a certificate to validate deployment server authentication. This certificate must be stored in a file named cacert.pem in OCS Inventory NG agent’s folder under Windows, and in directory /etc/ocsinventory-client under Linux.

Je pense qu'il y a une coquille entre /etc/ocsinventory-client et /etc/ocsinventory-agent

Est ce que vous pouvez me confirmer que si mon client me possède pas de certificat cacert.pem dans /etc/ocsinventory-* aucun logiciel ne pourra être installé (ou aucune commande lancée) sur son poste?

Le but étant de nous protéger contre une usurpation en cas de prise de contrôle du serveur.

Hi all,

After installing OCS Inventory agent on an ovirt server, I find this error in log when agent is executed:

Feb 20 11:50:23 server.name ocs-agent[141014]: Ocsinventory::Agent::Backend::Virtualization::Libvirt killed by a timeout.

Does ovirt supported by OCS agent (2.3.1) please ?

Bonjour

je souhaiterais changer de BD localhost a une BD distante, au fait je veux attaquer une base de données distante.

sur ce, je touchais le fichier dbconfig.inc.php et dbconfig.inc.php   mais sans succès meme quand je change dbhost j'ai toujours la possibilté de lire et écrire.

Je suis sur MariaDB, j'aimerais migrer vers un server Mysql distant en gardant ma structure de base

Déploiement automatique de l'agent OCS

Bonjour

je suis sur OCS Inventory 2.5 et OCS Inventory agent 2.4.

J'ai un parc informatique enorme, j'ai installé manuellement l'agent dans 15% de mon parc et je compte finir le reste avec un déploiement distant.

J'ai beau essayé avec OCS deploiement tool 2.3 mais sans resultat positif :

- pas moyen de lire les registre

- ça plante au niveau de Psexec

Trop de problème ...

Vu que je suis sur un environnement qui tourne sur ADirectory WS 2008R2, je souhaiterais déployer l'agent via GPO en mettant un script en marche.

j'espere que vous aviez compris mon souci, c'est celui d'avoir un script qui me facilitera la tâche

Et en plus de ça je suis dans un environnement CISCO, le scan SNMP ne marche pas, faudrait-il que le protocole SNMP soit activé sur mes équipements réseux?

Not importing plugin information to server (2.6)

We have a fully functioning 2.6 install working and gathering information from our agents.
We have successfully installed 3 plugins, ensuring we use the newer re-work scripts from github that are compliant with 2.6.
The .VBS files function correctly on the Windows agent when manually executed.

The Server is showing the relevant tables where the information would be populated

Nothing is actually uploaded to the server from the plugin script.
Please help.

OCS 2.5 on Centos 7, no inventory

Hello to everyone, I'm trying to install OCS 2.5 on a dedicated vm with Centos 7.

I've the web server running and a windows client installed, but no way to get the network inventoried except the client itself.

In the logfiles I see those errors:

Erreur dans la remontée depuis les agents

Bonjour,

Ayant posté un message dans un sujet clos, je me permet de reposter ma question...

Depuis quelque temps, mes machines ne remontent plus. Pour faire, un historique rapide, j'ai installé OCS il y a un peu plus d'un mois et tout fonctionnait correctement. J'avais accès à la console web avec ocsreports et les machines remontaient normalement.

Puis ça a été le drame... plus d'accès à ocsreports, après recherche je me suis aperçu que le dossier avait changé d'emplacement et est dans"/var/www/html" , je l'ai donc remis dans le dossier "/usr/share/ocsinventory-reports/ocsreports" en le copiant n'arrivant pas à modifier la config apache.

J'ai donc pu accéder normalement à la console ocsreports mais les machines ne remontent plus...

Sur une nouvelle machine, j'ai ouvert les logs et l'agent n'arrive pas à envoyer au serveur les informations d'inventaire dont l'adresse est http://ipserveur/ocsinventory dans le fichier ini.

l'erreur renvoyée est <http status code #404>

Est ce que ça parle à quelqu'un ?

Je pense tout réinstaller pour avoir quelque chose de propre mais j'aimerai comprendre et pourquoi pas réparer avant de tout casser.

ssl on server with deployment

I wish to deploy packages via OCS NG server  2.2 but there is no SSL.

There is no certificate on server. I have hundred of clients.

I install CA on server and I enable SSL, I'm able to deploy package ?

What happens to others client if I install SSL on server? I lost communications to existing agents?

SNMP not work / ne fonctionne pas

J'ai un problème je n'arrive pas à remonter mon matériel (switch, imprimante...) via le SNMP. Il m'indique 0 périphériques SNMP remontés.
IpDiscover est bien activé sur certain poste.

Communauté est ok.

Apparement le certificat est surement à revoir je l'ai créé X fois, je l'ai ajouté dans x dossier j'ai visité X tuto...

Niveau log client :

J'ai un timeOut sur mes clients dans le fichier SNMP.txt (C:\Program Files (x86)\OCS Inventory Agent\)

Dans : C:\ProgramData\OCS Inventory NG\Agent\OCSInventory.log

Upgrade issue, service remains old version

All our computer are running a very old version of OCS (v2.0.5.0)

I have set a new server and I am deploying the latest client with these options:

"OCS-NG-Windows-Agent-Setup.exe" /S /NOSPLASH /UPGRADE /NOW /SERVER=http://ocs/ocsinventory

The agent installs but the service doesn't update, see below screenshot which shows that not all components are up to date, after the agent is deployed I have tried to force a reboot but the problem remains, in the App and Features I can see that th OCS version is the latest but the systray icon is the old version, if i uninstall the agent and redeploy it then all works fine:

Couldn't connect to server error

Hello.

We have in our network about 100 computers with OCS Inventory Agents. On about 80 computers it works fine. On about 20 computers in the past it worked fine too, but from one moment (a coupe of months ago) on these computers agent can't connect to server (Couldn't connect to server error). In the OCSInventory.ini server address is correct (I also try use here IP address with no result). This ini file is identical with computers where OCS agent works correctly.

On server these computers have outdated "Last inventory" (several months ago), but in filed "Last contact" I see updated date and time (today or yesterday). I tried reinstall agent - sometimes it helps, sometimes not. I'm not understand the problem. Log file:

DB not getting data SCHEDULEDTASKS plugins

Hi,

OCS 2.6RC

The SCHEDULEDTASKS plugins dont populate the DB

  • Local XML seems correct

  • in database, table exist
  • I log the query but didnt see anything usefull
  • Same with apache error
  • Even correct the vbs where field name was not the same (for example NEXT_EXEC_HOUR instead of NEXTEXECHOUR in the DB)
